Overview

Through the Student Engagement & Career Development Design Lab internship, I worked on product design concepts that simplified an application process and translated a company toolkit into website and mobile interface prototypes.

The problem

Application processes and toolkit experiences often become confusing when users are asked to move through too much information without clear structure. The design challenge was to make the workflow easier to understand and act on.

My role

I contributed as a product designer, working on prototype concepts, website interfaces, mobile app interfaces, and problem-solving around the application flow.

What I learned

Good design reduces friction before users even notice it. This experience strengthened how I think about product flow, visual structure, and user confidence.

PM / APM interview story

Situation: A company toolkit and application flow needed clearer digital structure.

Task: Prototype a more usable website/mobile experience.

Action: I helped design interfaces and simplify the application process.

Result: The work produced prototype concepts and strengthened my product design foundation.
